The Perfect Night

Sunday night we celebrated the sixth anniversary of my sister’s lung transplant. My parents grilled and we all had dinner at their house. Dinner was delicious and we talked and had a great time. I don’t know why but it is fun to sit around the table and talk and just hang out together. After dinner the kids wanted to play ball. We play a combo of baseball and softball. We played boys against girls (4 boys and 4 girls). It was so much fun! Everyone played hard and laughed a lot. The whole family was exhausted after an hour, even Lilly who did not play the entire time. Two adults fell down and Tyler hit the ball over my head! After the game we went inside for cookies. Robin, my sister, said it was the perfect transplant party because before the transplant she would have coughed a lot (she has Cystic Fibrosis). Everyone had the best time. The next day all the adults were sore, but we want to do it again!
